Michael “Troy” Richardson is a nationally recognized zipline and challenge course expert witness with over four decades of hands-on experience designing, constructing, inspecting, operating, and improving aerial adventure attractions. Attorneys and insurance carriers across the U.S. trust Troy to provide accurate, defensible, and technically sound expert opinions in cases involving zipline injuries, braking system & PPE failures, and challenge course operational accidents.

In 2017, Troy co-authored an article titled “Zipline Injuries on the Rise” with attorney Rex Bush, Esq.
Troy is directly involved in setting new industry standards (i.e., ASTM F2959). 

In January 2025, Troy sent the article "Perilous Gamble of Human..." to all the industry standards. His follow-up article in April was drafted after his site visit after in Wrongful Death matter is titled: Human Factors and Ergonomics in Aerial Adventure
